What is the
purpose of our life?
Jesjoewa (
Jesus ) said to him,
I am the
way, the truth, and the
life:
no man
comes to the Father,
but by me.

Almost everyone asks
oneself, what is the purpose of life. Most people come to the
conclusion that they have to earn as much as is possible, so they
and their children have a good life. Years later though they walk
frustrated around, because they couldn't find true happiness.
Jesjoewa (
Jesus ) opened the in the most famous speech ever, the Sermon of
the Mount, with the words: "Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:3.
The purpose
of life is to learn to choose between good and bad.
I call
heaven and earth to record this day against you,
that I have
set before you life and death,
blessing
and cursing:
therefore choose life,
that both
thou and thy seed may live:
That thou
mayest love JEHWAH thy God,
and that
thou mayest obey his voice,
and that
thou mayest cleave unto him:
for he is
thy life, and the length of thy days: ...

When we choose for good,
then the good people will be attracted to us. And we glorify JEHWAH God. When we choose for evil (
throwing stones through the windows at the neighbors for example
), then evil will also come to us. In this way every good tree
brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil
fruit ( Matthew 7:15-21 ). But what is good and what is bad in
our opinion doesn't have to be so in the eyes of JEHWAH.
The prophet Jeremiah wrote
in this context:
O JEHWAH, I know that the way of man is
not in himself:
it is not
in man that walketh to direct his steps.

10:23
An extra reward for a good
insight between what JEHWAH
judges good and evil, is also the fact that we ( when we
persevere until the end ) inherit the eternal life on Earth (
Psalms 37:10+29, John 11:24-26 ). That also is an important goal
in this life.
But what is the way, the
truth, and the life?
The Way is also the
"heresy" that follows Jesjoewa ( Jesus ) in word and
deed. If you follow Jesjoewa example by: studying the Bible,
being loyal to JEHWAH, accepting Jesjoewa's
sacrifice and mediatorposition, choose for the good, let yourself
being baptised by immersion and preach, than you belong to The
Way. Acts 9:2, Acts 19:9, Acts 24:14.
The truth is to be found
in God's word the Bible, which explains:
Sanctify
them through thy truth:
thy word is
truth.

The life is:
The life like JEHWAH God intends it, the kind of
life which leads to eternal life by choosing for the good (
incline towards good ).
